The Research Triangle Nanotechnology Network (RTNN) is a collaborative network of laboratories and facilities at UNC Chapel Hill, Duke University and NC State University. The RTNN is an innovation hub for transformative nanotechnology research, discovery, education, commercialization, and workforce development. The RTNN is one of 16 sites in the National Nanotechnology Coordinated Infrastructure (NNCI). The NNCI is supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF).

PCOST (Public Communication of Science and Technology) under the direction of Dr. David M Berube shared a University award for engagement under the Research Triangle Nanotechnology Network (RTNN). This honor is shared with: NC State University - College of Engineering, NC State University - College of Education, NC State University - College Humanities and Social Sciences, NC State University Public - Communication of Science and Technology, NC State University - Analytical Instrumentation Facility, NC State University - Nanofabrication Facility, Duke University - Shared Materials Instrumentation Facility and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill - Chapel Hill Analytical and Nanofabrication Laboratory. The Opal Mann Green Engagement and Scholarship Award recognizes engagement, inclusionary teams, democracy in the community, empowerment, teamwork, outcomes, and impact, etc. The project will also serve as NC State 2025 Association of Public & Land Grant Universities Kellogg/Magrath nominee in 2025.

The University of Chicago’s Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering is searching for an Executive Director to lead its world-class Pritzker Nanofabrication Facility (PNF). The PNF is a 10,000 square foot, class-100 cleanroom with state-of-the-art tools and a large user base of academic and industrial users, with a staff of six with room for expansion. The Executive Director serves as the primary scientific and operational leader of the facility, managing the daily activities of the PNF. Responsibilities include managing the technical staff; user training; safety; equipment maintenance and acquisition; and other aspects of facilities operations.
